Fund-Account Information

Notice that a deposit number has been assigned, a total has been
calculated and the status of the deposit is currently incomplete.

After entering all of the necessary information, click
Enter or Continue.

Enter will verify the data and remain on this
screen. Continue will perform the verification
and go to the next screen.

How to use a template
-
Fund-Account: Enter a 7-digit fund account number
without dashes or spaces.

Section-Project: If the fund account uses section
and project, a 6-digit section project number must be entered
without dashes or spaces.

Class Code: Enter a 5 digit ISU class code. If
using an expense class code the system will enter it as an offset
automatically (the -2 is no longer necessary).

Ovr: Override. Used for fund accounts that do not
accept deposits at the current time. The date restriction can be
overridden by checking this box.

Amount: Enter a dollar amount. If no decimal is
entered, one will be inserted two digits to the left.

After Enter or Continue is
clicked, the system will verify the information. If there are
errors, a message will be displayed with the field that needs to be
changed and the line number where it appears. Also, the column
heading for the field name will change to red. The errors will need
to be corrected before the data will be accepted.

The error messages will be displayed one at a time, starting with
the last line of entered information and continuing up the screen.
Make the necessary corrections and click Enter or
Continue.

In this example, the class code on line 1 is not valid.

There are several edits set up for class codes.

When the data has been validated and the deposit total equals the
total of the items listed, the data entry on this screen is
complete.

If checks are included in this deposit, click
Continue to go to the next screen.

There are ten lines for fund-account class-code combinations on
this screen. If more are needed, click Enter to
verify and save the data already entered, then click Add
More Accounts. This will display a screen where more
fund-accounts can be entered.

After the cash report has been completed, write down the cash
report number. The checks, cash and coins, a calculator tape of the
checks, and the cash report number should be taken to the
Treasurer's Office in 1220 Beardshear Hall.
